Switch on games & apps protection<\/h2>\n

To start, log in to your parent dashboard and select the child you want to monitor. Head to the games & apps rules screen and you\u2019ll see a list of all the apps your child has accessed on their device. Switch on Enable games & apps rules<\/b><\/span>\u00a0and then you\u2019ll be able to set rules for each of the apps listed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Block unsafe apps<\/h2>\n

If you spot an inappropriate app on the list that you want to completely block, \u00a0simply select the dropdown next to it and choose Block<\/b>. Now when your child tries to open it on an Android device, they\u2019ll instead see a screen letting them know that the app has been blocked to keep them safe. If they try to open it on an iOS device, the app\u2019s internet connection will be cut off so they won\u2019t be able to download any new content or interact with anyone online.<\/span><\/p>\n

Set healthy time limits for apps<\/h2>\n

There will probably be some apps that you\u2019re happy for your child to use, but want to make sure they don\u2019t spend all day on. We\u2019ve got that covered too. Choose Set limits <\/b>from the dropdown<\/span>\u00a0and then use the dial to choose how long your child can spend on the app each day. You can adapt the allowance to each day of the week, perhaps setting lower limits on school days and giving them more flexibility at the weekend \u2013\u00a0it\u2019s completely up to you!<\/span><\/p>\n

Manage alerts for new apps<\/h2>\n

There\u2019s no need to keep checking back to see if new apps have appeared on the list \u2013 switch on the <\/span>Alert me <\/b>toggle (found under <\/span>Notifications<\/b> in the games & apps rules screen) and you\u2019ll receive an email when your child uses a new app for the first time, so you can set rules as needed.<\/span>
